• Must have completed at least '1' successful travel assignment as a RN
• BLS (AHA)

Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and facility policies and procedures.\nPrepares equipment and aids physician during treatments and examinations of residents.\nObserves residents, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor, physician and family of resident’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.\nTakes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of resident.\nAssigns duties and coordinates nursing services on the resident unit to ensure resident needs are met in accordance with instructions of Physician, federal and state regulations and facility procedures.\nConsults with Shift Supervisor on nursing problems and interpretation of facility policies to ensure resident needs are met.\nReport all complaints or unusual problems to supervisor. Assist with completion of facility complaint report.\nParticipates in orientation and training and evaluation of nursing personnel.\nEvaluates nursing activities to ensure resident care, staff relations, and efficiency of service.\nAssigns duties and coordinates nursing service on the resident unit.\nObserves nursing care and visits residents to ensure that nursing care is carried out as directed, and treatment administered in accordance with Physician's instructions.\nAssumes responsibility and maintains records for unit narcotics.\nInspects resident rooms and the unit for cleanliness and comfort.\nResponsible for documenting admissions, discharges, transfers and incident reports per facility policies and procedures.\nParticipate in the care plan process, completes nursing assessments and resident care plans accurately and timely on assigned residents.\nCompletes special projects and audits in the direction of the Supervisor, CCC, or Director of Nursing.\nMaintain all educational requirements for the State of Michigan to keep licenses current. Attend facility in services and ward conferences as assigned.\nMaintain resident confidentiality; treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect; know and comply with all Resident's Rights rules; and promptly report all resident accidents and injuries to charge nurses.
