Director Of E-commerce

The Director of E-commerce will be responsible for developing and executing a strategy to grow the Dockers' direct-to-consumer (DTC) business across all digital touchpoints. This individual will own the end-to-end customer journey across mobile and desktop platforms, and partner cross-functionally with internal teams including Marketing (Acquisition & Retention, Data Analytics), Merchandising, and IT.

Key areas of focus include UX / UI design, site merchandising, digital marketing, web analytics, personalization, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).

E-commerce Strategy & Management

  • Develop and implement an e-commerce strategy across merchandising, conversion, and customer experience.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to develop and execute web strategies that drive demand and conversion, partnering with internal teams and external agencies.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the site merchandising and UX / UI teams.
  • Partner with Brand Marketing and Creative leadership to ensure alignment with overall brand strategy.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Monitor and report on daily / weekly e-commerce performance and KPIs.
  • Set and evaluate benchmarks using analytics and competitive insights.
  • Analyze customer demographics, behaviors, and trends to drive sales growth.
  • Leverage site analytics to develop strategic initiatives that improve KPIs such as conversion rate, cart abandonment, AOV, UPT, and bounce rate.
  • Customer Experience & Merchandising

  • Develop a best-in-class customer experience across mobile, tablet, and desktop platformsincluding site usability, customer service, and logistics standards.
  • Drive implementation of new site features and functionalities to enhance user experience and increase conversion.
  • Ensure site content aligns with e-commerce best practices, SEO requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Optimize key site features such as reviews, search functionality, navigation, and taxonomy.
  • Stay current on industry technologies and trends to maintain a leadership position in digital innovation.
  • Manage product merchandising strategy in collaboration with Merchandising, ensuring optimal stock levels, promotion planning, and presentation of core products and best sellers.
  • Test & Learn

  • Foster a test-and-learn culture across teams, identifying opportunities to improve revenue per visit and customer experience.
  • Drive paid and unpaid initiatives to increase traffic and conversion, while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • 10+ years of experience in E-commerce or Site Merchandising; experience leading UX / UI teams preferred.
  • Experience with data analysis and analytics platforms; advanced proficiency in Google Analytics required.
  • Prior experience in retail, e-commerce, or DTC brand environments; omni-channel experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms preferred.
  • Expertise in CRO, personalization, site operations, UI / UX, site merchandising, and digital testing.
  • End-to-end understanding of e-commerce strategy, digital marketing, analytics, and multi-channel growth.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed performance targets, with a strong sense of ownership over the online conversion funnel.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable operating both strategically and tactically.
  • Deep understanding of consumer behavior, e-commerce business practices, digital marketing tools, vendor management, and project execution.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex projects from business case to execution, under tight deadlines and with measurable ROI.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and influence skills; able to align and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with A / B and multivariate testing.

    Salary Range : $138,400 - $173,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
