SMART is actively recruiting for emergency medicine locum physicians for coverage in Alexandria, LA. Coverage is needed as soon as credentialed and is ongoing.

Details :

  • Coverage needed short-term (3-6 months) or long-term (6+ months)? 6+
  • Specific shift type : all shifts
  • Start Date : August / September 2023

PROGRAM DETAILS

  • Annual Patient Volume : 58,500
  • Patients per Hour : 1.65
  • ED Bed Count : 362
  • Shift Times / Coverage Details : (Mon, Wed, Thurs); shift is currently removed on Tues, Sat & Sun
  • APC Hours of Coverage : 48
  • Scribe Coverage : N / A
  • EMR : Meditech
  • Trauma Center Designation : Level II

    • Requirements :

  • Specialty : Emergency Medicine
  • Board requirement (years of eligibility defined by facility) If eligible, must be actively pursuing certification.
  • Board requirement (Example EM, FM, IM) : EM
  • Life Support Certifications Required : ACLS is mandatory. PALS / ATLS can be waived if EM boarded
  • COVID vaccine / exemption required? Yes

    • Paid malpractice, travel and accommodations
