Shift Supervisor at Raymond Laborde Correctional Center

The Louisiana Department of Public Safety & Corrections Corrections Services is seeking a Shift Supervisor for Raymond Laborde Correctional Center (RLCC). This is a promotional opportunity for current LA Department of Corrections employees who have permanent status and are ready to advance in their career.

The incumbent of this position will serve as a Shift Supervisor at Raymond Laborde Correctional Center, an adult male correctional institution with an operational capacity of 1,808 offenders with all custody levels - minimum, medium, and maximum. RLCC has a staff component of 355, numerous staff funded through other charges or professional services contracts, as well as security WAE positions. This position will supervise Compound 1 which consists of three (3) dormitory style housing units with approximately 1056 beds, Main Kitchen, Infirmary, Control Center, Education 2, Hobby Shop, Gymnasium, Library, Laundry, Canteen, and the Recreation Yard.

This position has a Special Entrance Rate of $24.64 per hour. There is 'Premium Pay' for this position : a rate between $0.50 and $1.00 an hour for each hour worked based on years of service with DOC, in addition to regular pay.

This is a 24-hour facility. Applicants may be required to work shift work. This Agency is a Drug-Free Workplace.
