Job Title : Credentialing Specialist I

Location : Remote (Must Reside in Texas)

Pay Rate : $20 / hour

Schedule : Monday – Friday | 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM

About the Role

Dean’s Professional Services is actively seeking a Credentialing Specialist I to join our client’s healthcare team. The ideal candidate will perform credentialing and re-credentialing activities in compliance with plan specifications and NCQA standards. This role ensures that all providers meet required qualifications and compliance expectations while maintaining accurate and current records.

Key Responsibilities

Perform credentialing and re-credentialing tasks in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Communicate professionally with physicians, providers, office managers, and third-party organizations.

Collect and organize materials for Credentialing Committee meetings.

Process, track, and file credentialing applications within established timelines and quality guidelines.

Maintain accurate provider data and documentation in credentialing systems and databases.

Generate reports to support departmental operations and ensure process accuracy.

Support departmental goals and uphold compliance with internal and external requirements.

Qualifications

Education : Associate degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience : Minimum of 1 year in data entry, customer service, medical office, credentialing, or healthcare operations (billing, claims, provider relations, or contracting).

Experience in a managed care or insurance environment is highly preferred.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Ability to manage high volumes of work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
