Process Engineer EIT
Tetra Tech is seeking a motivated Process Engineer EIT to join our growing water treatment team, contributing to cutting-edge PFAS and large-scale water / wastewater infrastructure projects across the U.S. You'll work directly with nationally recognized process engineers and a highly collaborative team known for delivering innovative, technically sound solutions.
Role
As a Process Design Engineer, you will support the planning and design of treatment systems for emerging contaminants, most notably PFAS, alongside a multidisciplinary team. In this role you will :
- Support the delivery of large-scale water and wastewater treatment projects from planning through construction.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams of civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural engineers.
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and permit packages.
- Assist with the preparation of design calculations, process modeling, and equipment sizing for PFAS treatment (e.g., GAC, IX, RO), filtration, disinfection, and other unit processes.
- Work closely with the team to prepare design calculations, system modeling, and hydraulic analyses for pipelines, pump stations, force mains, and collection systems.
- Engage in on-site investigations, pilot testing, construction support, and client coordination.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering (required).3–6 years of experience in water / wastewater engineering (internship or co-op experience welcome).Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred (or in progress).Exposure to or interest in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or process modeling tools (e.g., BioWin, GPS-X).Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel.Enthusiasm for learning, teamwork, and building a long-term career in water infrastructure.Salary : $77,000 – $95,000 (dependent on experience)
