POSITION TITLE :   Physician (Infectious Diseases)

NUMBER OF POSITIONS : 1

POSITION DUTIES :   Diagnose, treat, and manage infections such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), tuberculosis, viral hepatitis, and COVID-19. Provide infection prevention and control activities in healthcare settings involving interventions such as oversight of programs that conduct surveillance and identify risks, providing education regarding the use of appropriate isolation procedures and personal protective equipment, developing policies to respond to novel infections, and ensuring that the healthcare environment and medical devices are properly cleaned and maintained. Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to enable a wide variety of community-based interventions. Participate in hospital and clinical leadership roles, such as developing protocols and leading clinical trials.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :   Position requires M.D. or D.O. (or foreign equivalent of M.D. or D.O.); Completion of Medical Residency in Internal Medicine; Completion of a Medical Fellowship in Infectious Diseases; and Indiana Physician license.
