Senior Research And Development Engineer

Overview

Senior Research And Development Engineer role at FANUC America Corporation. We are seeking a dynamic engineer focused on mechanical quality to ensure mechanical hardware components and assemblies are manufactured and assembled per engineering design intent.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside development engineers to introduce quality into products by design
• Release drawings and publish specifications to define acceptable and unacceptable quality
• Establish processes within FANUC and with suppliers to facilitate favorable outcomes and ensure total customer satisfaction; lead cross-functional initiatives to improve quality by design and by process
• Collaborate with Purchasing Department on topics related to mechanical component and assembly suppliers
• Coordinate with Robot Factory, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality Departments to achieve a consistent and high level of quality
• Ensure that Robot Factory and suppliers use appropriate tools and inspection equipment required to perform assembly and validation
• Support troubleshooting of mechanical product issues that occur during manufacturing of the component assembly or at customer production sites
• Write clear and concise technical reports
