• Float between all ICU floors (Medical, Neuro and Cardiac)\n
• Monitor, evaluate, and document patients on critical care equipment : pacemakers, ventilators, IABP, CRRT, intracranial pressure monitors, and pulmonary artery / femoral line catheters.\n
• Manage patients on specific drips (e.g., Diprivan, vasopressors, paralytics).\n
• Monitor and troubleshoot hemodynamic responses and care for hemodynamically compromised cardio-surgical patients.\n
• Perform vital signs and admission history, assess chief complaints, and notify physicians within 15 minutes.\n
• Complete comprehensive nursing admission assessment within eight hours, including physiological, psychological, and psychosocial factors.\n
• Conduct and document system assessments at the beginning of each shift.\n
• Assess and respond to diagnostic data, patient education needs, and psychosocial requirements.\n
• Develop interdisciplinary plan of care within eight hours of admission.\n
• Prioritize and adapt care plans based on patient needs and outcomes.\n
• Initiate, document, and implement interventions in emergencies and routine care.\n
• Administer medications, observe effectiveness, and report adverse reactions.\n
• Provide individualized education to patients and families about the plan of care each shift.\n
• Operate and maintain unit-specific equipment, including aseptic techniques for dressing changes and catheter insertions.\n
• Address daily hygiene needs, pre / post-operative care, and feeding via NG / gastrostomy / jejunostomy tubes.\n
• Follow standard precautions, hand hygiene, and hospital protocols for intravenous therapy, specimen collection, and glucose monitoring.\n
• Implement skin and wound protocols, perform dressing changes, and provide ostomy care as required.\n
• Document and evaluate responses to interventions, revise care plans based on progress, and coordinate transfer / discharge planning efficiently\n\nRequirements\n
• Current Florida Nursing License (required)\n
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)\n
