Salary : $70,000- $75,000 per year plus benefits

Job summary Beyond Sport is seeking a creative, mission-driven communicator to produce compelling, accessible and inclusive content; content that tells the stories of Beyond Sport and our partners and advances sport for social change overall. The ideal candidate will be skilled in building brand awareness, increasing community engagement and creating high quality narratives and visuals for a variety of platforms and channels.
This is a hands-on role, requiring imagination, enthusiasm and a strategic mindset that advances Beyond Sport’s mission and organizational goals. Reporting to the Director of Content & Communications, the candidate must also be skilled collaborator with the ability to work effectively with our program, development and leadership teams, as well as with external partners and grantees.

Content Creation & Management Develop and implement platform-specific content strategies that boost engagement, build community and showcase impact
Maintain a dynamic online presence for a global audience across web, social and email including graphics, copy, short-form video, photos and promotional content
Source and write engaging sport for social change and Beyond Sport-specific stories for our bi-monthly e-newsletter (”Bulletin”)
Maintain editorial and social content calendar and asset libraries, implementing approaches that deliver on overall communications and marketing goals
Ensure content is vibrant, error-free and consistent with our brand identity, voice and messaging
Establish and maintain efficient workflows for content creation, review, publishing and reporting
Collaborate with Marketing Manager on campaigns that drive audience growth, reach and engagement
Support fundraising initiatives and special projects as needed
Provide design direction to support communications, campaigns and events
Develop and implement an organic social media strategy, audience growth plan and measurement framework
Craft, plan, schedule and publish multimedia content across Beyond Sport’s social media channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, X) and engage with audiences, i.e. respond to comments and DMs, offer UCG opportunities, etc.
Amplify program activities, opportunities and impact, including grantee / partner initiatives and stories
Stay on top of trends, platform updates and best practices to ensure content is current, relevant and reaches target audiences
Data Analysis & Performance Tracking
Work with Content & Communications Director to set clear, measurable content goals and KPI’s aligned with overall organizational objectives
Track, analyze and report on metrics to consistently refine approach, optimize content and target opportunities for improvement
Use web and social analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Sprout Social, platform dashboards) to monitor traffic, user engagement and conversion rates
Produce monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports that concisely summarize engagement, audience insights and recommendations
Monitor and report on trends to identify areas of concern or opportunity
Experience, Skills & Qualities Minimum 4 years’ relevant professional experience with a background in communications, social media, marketing, English or journalism, preferably in the nonprofit sector. Experience working internationally or with diverse international stakeholders a plus
Excellent written and visual storytelling skills with a strong attention to detail
Proven ability to create engaging content and build audiences across varied medium
A keen eye for design, a creative mindset and experience with graphic design, e.g. Canva and / or Adobe Creative Suite, and video editing and production
Proficiency with Mailchimp, WordPress, Google Analytics (and other analytic tools), Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social or similar
Experience applying a data-driven approach to content strategies
Strong, nuanced understanding and expertise with a wide range of social media platforms and expert ability to adapt content by channel
Tech-savvy with an interest and ability in adopting new tools and software
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively and communicate effectively with a wide range and level of stakeholders
Excellent project, time management and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to navigate multiple projects, priorities, tight deadlines and personalities
Experience working in a small team in a fast-paced, proactive environment
A philanthropic and global outlook
Passion for sport and social impact is preferred
