ESTIMATOR - MISSION CRITICAL NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE

This position is based out of our St. Louis, MO office or fully remote.

About the position

As a Mission Critical Network Infrastructure Estimator, you will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for complex network infrastructure projects supporting data centers and other mission-critical environments.

Day in the life

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for structured cabling and fiber optics.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to determine scope and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project management to ensure alignment on design and cost assumptions.
  • Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes for accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering alternatives.
  • Support proposal development and client presentations with clear, data-driven cost breakdowns.
  • Maintain and update historical cost databases and estimation tools.
  • Prepare Change Orders for awarded projects as needed.
  • Consistently makes decisions in an attentive and safe manner to ensure the safety and health of self and others.
  • Promotes and models the Company mission, vision and values through exercising sound and ethical business practices, championing all elements of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and providing high quality services and programs as they relate to clients, subcontractors, co-workers, suppliers, and the public.

    • Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in estimating network infrastructure for mission-critical environments.
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling systems and data center design.
  • Proficiency in estimation software, Accubid, Bluebeam and Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Tier III or Tier IV data center projects preferred.
  • Familiarity with BICSI, TIA / EIA standards, and NEC codes preferred.
