Job Developer / Trainer Part-time

Responsibilities and Illustrative Duties :

Intake Screening and Assessment

• Reviews individual’s program eligibility factors for designated program(s).
• Reviews material(s) collected from intake and individual’s program file.
• Completes screening with individual to assess strengths / weaknesses, job skills, training and experience to identify marketable job skills.
• Assists individual in identifying Target Job.
• Evaluates individual’s ability to participate in the job development process

Documentation

Travel

Follow-Along Services

Program Promotion

Extraordinary Work Conditions :

Will be required to travel to worksites throughout the SASi service area. Must be flexible in schedule to accommodate a variety of work placements. Must have a reliable independent means of transportation to all travel sites as assigned.

Qualifications :

Associates Degree in Human Services or related field PLUS one (1) year paid experience with disabled adults OR High School Diploma PLUS three (3) years paid experience with disabled adults OR An equivalent combination of education and experience

Must maintain a valid New York State Driver’s License with driving record that is acceptable within Agency’s criteria.

NOTE : In addition to meeting OMRDD background check, may also be required to meet OMH and Office of Children and Family Services background checks.
