Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Loan Processor to help a company located in West Des Moines, Iowa. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing residential real estate loan files, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and facilitating efficient loan processing and closing. The ideal candidate will excel at coordinating between various stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results.

Responsibilities :

  • Assess loan applications by evaluating financial details such as income, assets, debts, expenses, and credit reports.
  • Organize loan files and manage the ordering, tracking, and review of essential documents including appraisals, title searches, and inspections.
  • Act as a liaison between underwriters, loan officers, borrowers, and external partners to ensure seamless communication.
  • Submit loan packages to underwriters while ensuring adherence to investment and portfolio guidelines.
  • Verify the timely delivery of required disclosures and maintain accurate documentation for compliance tracking.
  • Facilitate the final approval process to meet scheduled loan closing dates.
  • Review and assemble closing documents to ensure accuracy in insurance, title, and settlement details.

Requirements :

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • At least two years of experience in loan processing.
  • Proficiency in mortgage processing, closing, and loan administration.
  • Experience with Encompass REQUIRED
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with residential real estate loan guidelines and procedures.
