We're looking for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for an immediate travel opening in Portland, OR.
The right CNA should have 1 year of experience in a hospital setting. Read below for more requirements.
As a CNA, you will support nurses and other healthcare professionals in delivering hands-on care to patients. Your role is essential in providing comfort, safety, and basic clinical support across a variety of medical-surgical or specialty units.
As a CNA, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks :
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration
Help with patient mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transporting patients safely
Assist with feeding and monitor intake and output as directed
Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
Maintain clean and stocked patient rooms and common areas
Support nurses with basic clinical tasks such as specimen collection and wound care assistance
Ensure proper use of infection control practices and PPE
Provide emotional support and respectful communication to patients and families
Document care provided according to hospital policy
The ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience as a Certified Nurse Aid in an acute care setting. Additionally, they should possess a current BLS certification, hold the NNAAP National Certification and be eligible for State licensure as a CNA 2.
CNAs should be able to work on their feet for long periods, lift or move patients safely, and remain calm and compassionate in fast-paced environments.
