Are you passionate about helping children grow, play, and thrive? The Therapy Place is looking for a caring and motivated Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in Columbia, SC. Pediatric Occupational Therapists specialize in treating and caring for infants, toddlers, children and teens, from birth to their 18th birthday. Pediatric Occupational Therapists provide therapy services to children who have developmental, congenital, mental, physical and emotional challenges by helping children develop the skills they need to grow into functional, independent adults. Areas of concentration include fine motor skills, visual motor skills, Activities of daily living (including feeding) and Sensory processing skills. Pediatric Occupational Therapists at TTP are part of a multidisciplinary team who collaborate with the family to help children play, grow, and learn. The pediatric Occupational therapist must possess strong interpersonal skills for interaction with children, family and team members.
What You'll Do
Evaluate and treat children from birth through age 18 with a variety of developmental, physical, sensory, and emotional needs
Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families and a multidisciplinary team
Carry out engaging therapy sessions to improve fine motor, sensory processing, daily living skills, and more
Provide home programs (HEPs) and caregiver training for consistent progress outside of sessions
Document services in accordance with state and payer requirements
Supervise COTAs and mentor Level I / II OT students (as applicable)
Participate in team meetings, in-services, and collaborative care planning

What We're Looking For
Graduate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (NBCOT-recognized)
Active South Carolina OT license (or eligibility)
Pediatric experience strongly preferred
