This role is on-site at Beverly Hospital - 85 Herrick Street, Beverly, MA. 35hrs / week.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Duties include chart assembly, discharge analysis, incomplete records, and chart completion / location. Performs record retrieval / delivery, filing, chart creation, and answering phone requests. Provides back-up for chart mergers and resolution of the transcription error report. Assists with requests for medical record information (ROI).
Responsibilities :
- Assemble all medical record types according to standard chart order.
- Utilize Meditech discharge lists to monitor the completion of all daily discharges.
- Review assembled record for required contents and accurately complete the medical record completion form for any missing items (including reviewing Meditech PCI for dictated reports that may need e-signature).
- Record accurately any physician incomplete record item into the Meditech Incomplete Record program.
- Record and reprint any missing record documentation such as the Laboratory Discharge Summary, Radiology reports, and Nursing Documentation.
- Provide back-up for chart mergers and resolution of transcription error reports as needed.
- Assist with requests for medical record information (ROI).

Education :
High School diploma or GED required. Associate's degree preferred.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities :
Knowledge of anatomy / physiology and medical terminology preferred. TD-4 filing and knowledge of Federal / State medical record completion requirements are preferred.Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.Policies
