Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and certified Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing the operating room, creating and maintaining a sterile field, and assisting surgeons by passing instruments, supplies, and medications during surgical procedures. You will also be responsible for a variety of technical tasks and helping to maintain surgical supplies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare the operating room and instrumentation for surgical cases.
  • Establish and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures.
  • Anticipate nd pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon and assistants.
  • Handle medications within the sterile field.
  • Provide retraction and other technical assistance as directed.
  • Restock and maintain operating room supplies.

    • Requirements & Qualifications

    Mandatory Certifications :

  • Surgery Technician Certification (CST) is required.
  • BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) is required.

    • Essential Experience :

  • Must have proven experience scrubbing the following cases :

    • C-Sections

  • Hip Fractures

    • Call Requirement :

  • Must be available for weekend and weeknight call, approximately 6-8 shifts per month .

    • Education :

  • Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program is required.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
