This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. Security Engineer in the United States.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Security Engineer to strengthen and maintain cloud infrastructure security across complex enterprise environments. In this role, you will focus on vulnerability management, risk mitigation, and security reporting, with deep expertise in Azure IaaS and PaaS services. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and DevOps teams to implement automated security workflows, develop proof-of-concept solutions, and ensure compliance with regulatory and operational security requirements. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while guiding teams on best practices. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for this senior-level position, which has a direct impact on platform resilience and operational security.

Accountabilities

  • Plan, implement, and maintain Azure cloud-based security processes for servers, networking, web applications, databases, and storage.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to recommend vulnerability management strategies and remediation actions.
  • Develop and maintain automated security workflows, including policy-as-code solutions across multiple cloud environments.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and socialization of security practices within cloud and network architectures.
  • Monitor security controls, perform risk assessments, and ensure adherence to compliance and operational requirements.
  • Design and implement solutions in containerized and serverless environments, including AKS and Docker.
  • Provide guidance on AI / ML security controls, Terraform deployments, and DevOps / GitHub Actions security integration.
  • Maintain awareness of networking protocols, VLAN design, ACL rules, route tables, firewall rules, and Azure policies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in systems / security engineering, with at least 5 years of Azure architecture expertise.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure IaaS / PaaS, AKS, Docker, Terraform, and cloud security best practices.
  • Familiarity with network, hardware, and software security architectures and operations.
  • Knowledge of AI / ML security controls, automated remediation workflows, and policy-as-code deployments.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to influence and educate teams.
  • Experience defining problems, collecting data, analyzing risks, and implementing security solutions.
  • CISSP or Azure Security certifications are a plus.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance frameworks is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities, and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
