Job Description Summary : The EHS Engineer acts as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the site's Environmental Health and Safety compliance and maturity. The engineer researches and understands applicable norms, permits, and standards, integrating them into the site's work processes and practices. This individual supports or leads sustainability projects across the site and assists in maintaining the site's ISO 14001 certification by ensuring audit readiness.

Job Responsibilities :
- Lead all Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives on-site.
- Act as deputy EHS Leader in the absence of the EHS Leader.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert within the EHS team.
- Contribute as an EHS expert in new equipment project teams, from design through operational stages.
- Lead site safety and sustainability campaigns.
- Represent the site in interactions with authorities and insurance companies on technical EHS topics.
- Maintain expertise in Machine Guarding, Lockout Tagout, and other relevant safety programs.
- Monitor and support achievement of site sustainability targets and projects.
- Contribute to ISO 14001 certification efforts.
- Participate in EHS programs as needed.
- Promote a positive safety and sustainability culture, influencing colleagues positively.
Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, HSE, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering, or equivalent (preferred).For candidates with non-engineering degrees, the title will be EHS Specialist.Minimum of 2 years in an industrial or manufacturing environment.Experience leading EHS projects and teams is preferred.Willingness to pursue, or current certification in, auditing.Skills and Knowledge :
