American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist experienced in acute care X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures with the ability to work independently.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is based in an Imaging Services department covering both pediatric and adult populations across inpatient, outpatient, ED, trauma, NICU, and OR settingsDuties include performing X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures, including portable imaging, with average daily volume of approximately 190 examsWork with a variety of radiography equipment including 3 fluoroscopy rooms, 4 plain film rooms, 7 portables, 7 C-arms, and 1 O-ARMSupports neonate through geriatric patients, including specialized cases in ICU and OR (spine, orthopedic, chest, extremities)Evening shift : Monday–Friday, 3 : 00 PM to 11 : 30 PM, with 40 hours per weekRotating weekends and on-call required; 24 hours of weekend call per month with 30-minute response timeRequired to float to various Imaging Services areas and to an affiliated campus as neededUses Epic Radiant EMR (required), McKesson PACS (preferred), Digital Siemens x-ray (preferred), Shimadzu portable x-ray (preferred), and OEC C-arms (required)Responsibilities include transporting ED patients, assisting in fluoroscopy, and adapting to various modalities across multiple departmentsComprehensive orientation provided, including hospital and unit training with a compliance check-off24 / 7 support available from radiology technologists, hospitalists, and intensivistsScrub color is flexible (any except camo, denim, or hoodies); hospital provides OR scrubs for surgical proceduresClosed toe shoes are required for all shiftsFree parking is available in designated areasWeekend rotation and holiday shifts based on departmental needsFirst-time travelers with acute care experience will be considered\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care settingCurrent BLS certification requiredARRT or RCIS certification requiredWashington Radiologic Technologist license required if applicableExperience with general X-ray, fluoroscopy, portable imaging, C-arm operation, and OR / trauma procedures requiredFamiliarity with neonate, pediatric, and ICU patient careProficiency with Epic EMR system requiredMust be able to work independently within a team environment\n Benefits\n
