Responsibilities Work in the Operating Room within a hospital setting Primary responsibility is perioperative care, including pre-op, PACU, and surgical circulating Exposure to general, orthopedic, OB cases, and trauma cases in the ER Level 4 trauma environment Dayshift schedule with five 8-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday Rotating on-call required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Expected to be available for 7-9 on-call shifts per month with a 20-minute response time Provide comprehensive perioperative care for surgical patients before, during, and after procedures Assist and circulate in a wide variety of surgical cases, including C-sections and trauma Collaborate with a skilled surgical team and support colleagues across nursing specialties Blue scrubs preferred for this role Holiday coverage required as part of the on-call rotation Pre-employment drug test and background check required First-time travelers and local candidates are welcome to apply Requirements Active UT or compact RN license required Graduate of an accredited nursing program Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain ACLS within 3 months of hire) General nursing skills required, with knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques Strong communication, emotional and physical stamina, and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations Prior experience in pre-op, PACU, or surgical operations preferred but not required Ability to serve as the sole OR nurse during emergency call cases Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626140.
