Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Specialist I to support our environmental, health, safety, and energy (EHS&E) functions. In this role, you will play a vital part in minimizing risks to employees and the environment, ensuring compliance with internal standards and government regulations, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate across departments, support audits and inspections, and help drive initiatives aligned with ISO standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting ISO 45001, 14001, or 50001 compliance programs
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence across departments
  • Familiarity with internal and external audit processes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or support cross-functional safety initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Short-cycle tertiary education or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS or a related field
  • Strong skills in compliance management, risk assessment, and data analysis
  • Ability to work independently and provide technical guidance
  • Position Overview

    As a Health & Safety Specialist I, you will monitor and improve performance against Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) KPIs, support the development of policies and compliance programs, and ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting. You’ll provide guidance on safe systems of work, supervise routine EHS activities, and contribute to team development. This role also involves executing internal and external communications aligned with ISO standards, participating in audits and inspections, and collaborating across departments to align safety strategies with business needs.
