Duties and Responsibilities :
Set up fixturing and precision measuring equipment to produce an acceptable first piece.Prepare tooling, fixturing, gauges, materials, and paperwork.Complete all necessary documentation per company policy for first piece approval.Keep machinery and work area clean, safe, maintained and organized.Comply with all PPE and machine guarding as necessary with each job.Perform sharpening tasks, offsets and adjustments based on tool wear within current program.Keep waste low, minimize scrap, use labor efficiently, and account for all parts on jobs.Improve on product throughput via additional operations i.e. multiple machine operation, de-burring, cleaning, etc.Program machine, fixturing, material, and paperwork preparation such as sharpening, locating, verifying, programming, editing, etc.Set-up and proof CNC machines for runs to achieve a first piece quality product.Set-Up Times and Run-Times : monitor for accuracy and provide necessary changes to Department Supervisor.Monitor condition of job specific tooling or holding fixtures, make authorized changes as needed / directed.Suggest and implement improvements to machining process.Responsible for writing, creating, and testing CNC programs.Performs adjustments to adhere to established specifications or revisions.Monitor machining times and optimize times by recommending new machining techniques and methods to refine existing programs to the Department Supervisor.Maintain the jigs and fixtures.Demonstrate a full commitment to work closely with machinists, programmers, and Supervisors.Ability to operate Milltronics RH15 at or above company standards for both time and quality.Adequately supply departmental personnel with needed supplies and assist them through difficulties with troubleshooting techniques.Ensure proper training of new and less skilled employees.Validate and implement any setup, run-time changes or other improvements by team members.Strong knowledge of most hand, manual and automatic machinery, fixturing and precision measuring equipment to complete departmental assignments.Share knowledge of how-to set up shop equipment and proof to achieve a first-piece quality product.Assist in setting production standards and assure they are being achieved.Generate all necessary documentation per company policy RH33 at or above company standards for both time and quality.Ability to operate the Mazak 40 Lathe at or above company standards for both time and quality.About the Company :
