Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Nashville, TN 37203 (Tennessee nursing jobs) Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract Start Date : July 28, 2025 End Date : October 27, 2025 Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $1530 - $1640 Unit : 9 Tower Surgical (36 beds) Patient Ratio : 1 : 5 Electronic Medical Record : Meditech Dress Code : Black, Grey, White, or Royal Blue scrubs Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Registered Nurse) BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience preferred Strong time management and clinical efficiency skills Excellent teamwork and communication abilities Experience in post-op surgical care (vascular, bariatric, urology, general surgery, colorectal) is a plus Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to post-surgical patients in a medical-surgical unit Monitor and maintain post-op surgical procedure sites Perform wound care, including packing, dressing changes, and wound vac maintenance Manage Foley catheters and continuous bladder irrigation Change and maintain ostomy appliances Insert and manage nasogastric tubes and suction Administer TPN and blood products as needed Perform central line care and dressing changes Participate in bedside shift reports and ensure open communication Float to other medical-surgical units as needed Demonstrate professionalism, prompt attendance, and a customer service-oriented attitude Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Nashville, Tennessee!
