Job Description

A healthcare network is actively seeking a Gastroenterologist to provide locums coverage. The physician will deliver GI consults, procedures, and longitudinal care.

About the Opportunity

  • Schedule : Outpatient clinic, inpatient consults, and endoscopy blocks
  • Specialty : Gastroenterology

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, polypectomy, etc.).
  • Diagnose and manage GI disorders (IBD, liver disease, GERD).
  • Provide inpatient GI consults and manage emergencies (GI bleeds, obstructions).
  • Collaborate with surgeons, hepatologists, and dietitians.
  • Document procedures and patient encounters in EMR.

    • Qualifications

    Education : MD or DO from an accredited medical school.

    Licensure : Active and unrestricted state license.

  • Board Certification : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
  • Preferred : Advanced endoscopy training.
