Travel Operating Room Tech assignment

Facility Size :

64-bed hospital with 4 operating rooms and 2 endoscopy suites

Start Date : ASAP

End Date : January 6, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 8 hours

On-Call :

7 on-call shifts per month (4 weeknights, 1 weekend)

Hours per Week : 40

Estimated Weekly Pay :

$1580 - $1700

OR Tech Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent experience as an Operating Room Tech, Scrub Tech, or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Proficiency in all surgical service lines : Robotics, GYN, General Surgery, Neuro / Spine, Orthopedics, Vascular, Urology, and Endoscopy

Endoscopy procedure experience (required for call rotation)

Strong teamwork and communication skills within a multidisciplinary surgical team

Scrub Tech or CST certification preferred

OR Tech Responsibilities

Assist surgeons and RNs in a variety of surgical procedures, including robotic-assisted surgeries

Prepare, maintain, and monitor sterile fields and surgical instruments

Collaborate with operating room nurses and other surgical technologists to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes

Accurately document procedures using the Meditech electronic health record system

Participate in on-call rotation, responding promptly to emergency surgical cases

Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and dress code (hospital-laundered scrubs provided)

Promote a positive patient experience and uphold the highest standards of surgical care
