California Licensed Commercial Underwriter

A company is looking for a Commercial Underwriter I / II (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

Reviews commercial new business applications for eligibility and completeness, making decisions based on underwriting requirements

Handles renewal and endorsement referrals, inspections, and other underwriting correspondence

Identifies and evaluates underwriting decisions, serving as a resource for junior underwriters and performing complex tasks

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Prior insurance experience, particularly in commercial coverage, preferred

18 months of prior commercial insurance experience required for Commercial Underwriter II

Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
