Custodial Manager

This position is responsible for the supervision of the custodial department and all other cleaning services for all University maintained properties

Responsibilities

• Leading the custodial team while primarily responsible for the quality and execution of each job.
• Evaluate team members' work and participate with management regarding performance feedback and recommendations for advancement.
• Provide training to new and experienced team members as needed.
• Responsible for daily reporting from customer complaints to transportation issues.
• The candidate must be flexible regarding work shifts and days off.
• The ideal candidate will be comfortable in and contributes to a team effort. Flexibility in duties, can and will change daily depending upon needs.
• This position will perform cleaning services work whenever if needed.
• The ideal candidate will be focused on internal guests, listens to associate issues, suggests positive action, and will be self-motivated, able to multi-task, prioritize, and make solid decisions.
• Responsible for performing all department administrative duties to include material ordering, supplies, timecard processing
• Mix and use detergents and other cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Report repair needs, safety issues or other conditions
• Requiring maintenances to the appropriate individuals.
• Operate cleaning equipment including floor buffer, vacuum.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
