Construction Project Manager
The Project Manager will serve as the Owner's Agent and is responsible for the planning and on-site execution of construction projects from initiation through completion. The role requires project leadership, communication, coordination, and conflict resolution to ensure that project goals are met.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage commercial building sector projects ranging from $5 Million to $50 Million from initiation through completion.
- Collaborate with preconstruction teams for project planning to ensure success.
- Oversee the design process and manage relationships between design and construction to deliver quality, budget-conscious, and complete documents on schedule.
- Interpret and understand construction plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Develop and implement strategies and action plans to pursue additional business with existing and new clients.
Essential Skills :
10+ years experience in Project Management in commercial building projects.2+ years experience working with preconstruction teams.2+ years managing design processes and relationships.Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent, or 10+ years of equivalent industry experience.Ability to read and understand construction plans and drawings.Additional Skills & Qualifications :
Prior experience with NJ Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) is preferred.Experience in public works, subcontractor management, and construction operations.Expertise in detention centers, K-12 education, estimation, and project scheduling.Work Environment :
The work environment involves being on-site in a trailer for a two-year project. The position requires the ability to be on-site throughout the project duration. Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $120.00 - $160.00 / hr.
