Gastroenterology Physician

Job Title : Locum Gastroenterologist Summary : CHI St. Luke's in Lufkin, TX is seeking a skilled Gastroenterology specialist with ERCP capabilities for their inpatient facility. This role will focus solely on in-house and ER consults, generating procedures as needed. The facility is well-supported with endoscopy-trained GI nursing staff. Job Responsibilities : Conduct inpatient GI consults and procedures, including endoscopies and colonoscopies. Perform ERCP as required for patient care. Round on patients, averaging up to 10 per day. Collaborate with nursing staff and other physicians on patient management. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with EMR, currently using Paragon. Participate in on-call coverage as needed. Qualifications : Board Certified in Gastroenterology (Highly Preferred) or Board Eligible. Current Texas State License (Required). Completion of a Gastroenterology Residency (Required). ACLS Certification (Required). Clean malpractice history (Highly Preferred). Availability to provide coverage as needed. License and Certification Requirements : Valid Texas State License (Required). ERCP capability (Required). Board Certification in Gastroenterology (Highly Preferred). ACLS Certification (Required).
