We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager in Grand Rapids, MI to oversee the daily operations of our sports bar. We have 2 locations, amazing food, and a outstanding staff. As the Restaurant Manager, you will ensure exceptional customer service, a seamless dining experience, and the overall success of the bar and restaurant operations. You will be responsible for managing staff, inventory, customer satisfaction, and ensuring the establishment runs smoothly in a fast-paced and energetic environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operational Oversight : Manage the daily operations of the sports bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Staff Management : Hire, train, and supervise staff including servers, bartenders, cooks, and support staff. Ensure proper staffing levels and foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Customer Service Excellence : Ensure an exceptional customer experience by addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally. Create a welcoming and energetic atmosphere for guests.
- Inventory Management : Monitor and maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure stock is organized and maintained. Control waste and prevent theft.
- Financial Management : Manage budgets, costs, and financial performance. Prepare and track sales, manage profit margins, and ensure cost-effective practices.
- Compliance : Ensure that all food safety, health regulations, and alcohol laws are adhered to. Conduct regular safety and cleanliness audits.
- Event Coordination : Coordinate sports events, special promotions, and themed nights to increase customer engagement and traffic.
- Marketing & Promotions : Work with the marketing team to promote specials, events, and seasonal offers. Utilize social media and other platforms to drive business.
- Reporting & Communication : Maintain regular communication with the ownership and corporate team, providing updates on performance, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in a sports bar or high-volume environment.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including inventory, budgeting, and financial performance.Knowledge of food and beverage offerings, with a passion for sports culture.Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.Proficient in POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training (preferred).
