E-IDS National Data Administrator

Enterprise Information Display System (E-IDS) is a new system under development that will provide a modern auxiliary information display to Air Traffic Controllers in the National Airspace System (NAS) to display safety information, e.g. NOTAMs, Weather, PIREPs, Charts, etc. E-IDS will consolidate several legacy IDS systems into a common platform to provide controllers with current and consistent information needed to perform air traffic operations from both local and enterprise sources. E-IDS will use a common hardware and software platform across over 400 NAS facilities, including En Route, Terminal, Tower, and Offshore domains.

The National Data Administrator will support the analysis, planning, design, execution, and operations of E-IDS. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing requirements, reviewing deliverables, developing test plans and procedures, and executing tests, as well as supporting the design, development, and test of IDS pages and layouts, and managing national document selection and distribution.

Work Location : William J. Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City, NJ

Duties will include, but are not limited to :

Develop test plans, procedures, and reports to evaluate the functional capabilities, availability, deployment, and other aspects of the E-IDS system

Perform complex testing and analysis of software, networks, and cloud-based systems

Provide technical expertise and guidance in design, development, and implementation of test processes and test support tools

Develop scripts, software, data sets, simulations, and other assets required to fully evaluate the E-IDS system

Review and develop documentation to include, but not limited to : requirements and interface specifications, test plans and procedures, user documentation, training material, technical instruction material, maintenance plans

Participate in TIMs and other meetings with program stakeholders

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree and 8 years of experience, or Associates degree and 11 years of experience; or Highschool Degree and 30+ years of experience

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability

Experience with FAA and DoD Information Display Systems

User Interface design experience

US Citizenship, or US Permanent Residency with 3 years residence in the US.

Desired Qualifications

Linux system administration experience

Air Traffic Control experience

Building IDS local facility templates and information databases.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it\'s just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.

USD $124,000.00 - USD $193,750.00 / Yr.
