job_description.job_card.job_descriptionWork in a hospital-based Cardiac Catheterization Lab Involvement in diagnostic and interventional cardiology, endovascular peripheral intervention, and special procedures Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts from 7 : 00am to 5 : 30pm On-call required : 1 weekday and 1 weekend every 4-6 weeks, including some holidays Patient population includes adults undergoing cardiac procedures such as stent placement, catheterizations, and angiography Equipment used includes Siemens devices and PACS systems EMR systems used are Cerner and Merge Responsibilities include hemodynamic monitoring, IABP and Impella placement / removal, and managing procedural supplies Required to assist with specialized cardiac procedures such as PCI, PTCA, ablation, and vascular closure Orientation occurs every other Thursday with required modules to be completed before start Holiday and occasional weekend call coverage expected Dress code follows hospital standards for the Cath Lab Current employees of the specified health system are not eligible for travel contracts at this site Active RN license (WV or Compact), with pending licenses accepted Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience required Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (all via American Heart Association if required by unit) Experience required in diagnostic and interventional Cardiac Cath Lab and special procedures Proficiency in skills such as vents, IV start, SWANZ, telemetry, PA lines, circulator duties, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and Impella Preferred experience in Electrophysiology (EP) Lab and Interventional Radiology Minimum 2 manager or charge references from the past 2 years required Candidates must have a permanent address more than 100 miles from the facility (75-100 miles considered case-by-case) No previous permanent employment at specified hospital system permitted within the last 2 years High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
