  • Patient Volume / Census : Variable based on census
  • Admissions : Yes, hospitalist role includes admissions
  • Rounding : Daily rounding included
  • Case Mix : General internal medicine, adult inpatient care

  • Specialty Backup Available : Yes, per hospital model
  • Support Staff Available : Physicians and APPs as part of staffing model
  • Reason for Coverage : Supplemental coverage

  • Hospital Privileges Required : Yes

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Rate : Fixed (Daily OT after 12 hours based on differential; Weekly OT after 168 hours based on fixed)
  • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Coverage TBD REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • General hospitalist duties (no specific procedures required)

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses : Active Illinois medical license required at time of application
  • Board : Board Certified (ABFM, ABIM)
  • DEA : Required
  • Certifications : ACLS required
  • Degree : MD
  • Experience : Prior inpatient hospitalist experience preferred
  • Other Qualifications : Must complete online hospital application as requested by SCP

    • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient hospitalist care on day or night shifts
  • Manage admissions, daily rounding, and discharges
  • Collaborate with swing APPs, day / night physicians, and nursing staff
  • Document and manage patient care according to hospital and EMR standards
  • Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based inpatient care
