Physician Assistant (PA-C)

Make a Meaningful Impact in a Mission-Driven Rural Practice

Position Details

  • Full-spectrum role across four rural health clinics with one dedicated ER day per week
  • Part of a well-established health system with a 17-bed Critical Access Hospital and Level IV Trauma Center
  • Average ER volume of ~4 patients / day; backup physician support always available for higher acuity cases
  • Clinic schedule : Four days per week, rotating between main and satellite clinics (within 25 miles)
  • Patient mix : Full lifespan care with a balance of scheduled visits, walk-ins, and urgent needs
  • Supportive team of physicians, PAs, and NPs with a collaborative care model and morning team huddles
  • EMR system : Cerner

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary : ~$155,000 annually
  • Sign-on bonus : $25,000
  • Loan assistance :
  • $10,000 in student loan support

  • Up to $90,000 in state loan repayment (3-year commitment)
  • Additional earnings :
  • Extra ER shifts paid at $50 / hour weekdays and $85 / hour weekends / holidays

  • High earners (e.g., 15+ years' experience) can exceed $200K annually
  • Relocation assistance : $2,500 (flexible)
  • CME allowance : $4,000 / year + 6-8 paid CME days
  • Retirement plan, retention bonuses, and RVU-based incentive opportunities
  • Qualifications

  • Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with active or eligible Nebraska license
  • At least 3 years experience
  • Visa Candidates not eligible
