Position Summary :
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Key Account Manager to exclusively lead and grow our strategic partnership with Target. This is an onsite role based in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis / St. Paul), requiring deep, pre-existing relationships within the Target buying team. The ideal candidate will be a proven player on the Target vendor side or from an intermediary, with a demonstrated track record of driving growth and managing a joint business plan. Experience in the apparel industry is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as the primary point of contact and strategic owner for the Target account, developing and executing the annual joint business plan.
- Build and maintain long-term, trusted relationships with key buyers, category managers, and merchandising teams at Target.
- Leverage and manage established wholesale buyer sources to secure and expand product placement, promotions, and overall business.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer insights (utilizing Target's proprietary systems) to create customized strategies that maximize sell-through and market share.
- Set, track, and achieve sales targets and profitability metrics for the Target account.
- Lead all aspects of the business, including product line reviews, presentation, promotional planning, and in-store activation strategies.
- Collaborate internally with marketing, supply chain, and product teams to ensure flawless execution and alignment for all Target-related initiatives.
- Act as the primary liaison for issue resolution, ensuring the overall health and performance of the account.
Qualification s :
5+ years of hands-on Key Account Management experience specifically with Target.Proven experience working directly on a Target vendor team or for an intermediary / agency managing the Target account.Established and verifiable relationships with Target buyers (buyer source).Must be located or willing to relocate to the Twin Cities area (Minneapolis / St. Paul) for onsite work.Strong preference for candidates with a proven success in the apparel / fashion retail sector; experience with hardware / consumer goods will be considered.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.Strong understanding of U.S. retail market trends and exceptional negotiation skills.A strategic, self-starting mindset, comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus, but not required.Benefits / Perks
