Cath Lab Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) - 4x10

Schedule

This position primarily involves day shifts with some late-night (evening) requirements and on-call duties as needed by the unit. The schedule is structured as 10-hour shifts.

Job Description

The Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) plays a critical role in supporting invasive cardiac procedures. This role involves preparing the procedure room, maintaining a sterile field, and anticipating equipment needs during surgeries.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the procedure room and sterile field for surgical procedures.
  • Setup and maintain sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment.
  • Function in various roles within the procedure team : scrub, circulator, and documenter / monitor.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • A minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification through CCI or ARRT preferred.
  • Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications.
  • Compliance with NYS requirements for Radiologic Technologists.
  • Experience with mechanical circulatory support and structural heart interventions is required.
