Role Description

The role of IT Business Partner Food & Specialty North America (Director) is a new role recently introduced to optimize the value of the IT Portfolio for the Business Unit Food & Specialty North America (F&S NA). The IT Business Partner works closely together with the leadership of the BU F&S NA to identify improvement opportunities, prioritize IT demand, and deliver technology enabled initiatives. The IT Business Partner works closely together with the global IT Centers of Excellence and local IT to deliver technology enabled initiatives and improvements. The IT Business Partner provides input on behalf of the BU F&S NA for the technology portfolios and roadmaps managed by the Global IT Centers of Excellence.

The IT Business Partner reports to the CIO with a dotted line to the Finance Director. They are part of the Global IT Leadership Team and BU Management Team leading a team of five IT representatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder engagement :

    • o Ensure all BU stakeholders are informed and aligned with IT portfolios and roadmaps and aware of key IT Enterprise Architecture principles

    o Ensure all Global IT stakeholders are informed and aligned with BU challenges & priorities

  • Business Alignment & Portfolio Management :

    • o Understanding the BU strategy and challenges and translate them into IT initiatives.

    o Drive the prioritization and implementation of the relevant IT initiatives & roadmaps with the BU leaders and Global IT Centers of Excellence to shape the necessary technology advancement & process improvement

    o Collaborate with Global IT leaders to embed BU priorities in IT roadmaps

  • IT Value creation :

    • o Coordinate the delivery of IT and other technology initiatives for the BU

    o Ensure BU specific requirements are met and business cases are realized

    o Identify opportunities where technology can drive business value within the BU

  • Escalation point :

    • o Serve as escalation point towards the BU for major IT incidents, operational issues or IT delivery performance issues.

    • Requirements for the job

    Education & Training :

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field; Master's in Business Information Management or Business Technology Management preferred
  • Relevant training & courses in Leadership (incl. delegation, people management, strategy)

    • Experience :

  • Minimum 7 years working experience in a business relationship role within IT, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Experienced with Business IT Demand Management & Stakeholder engagement
  • Proven experience with ERP, MES, and Analytics
  • Bias toward action with a track record of driving initiatives from conception to completion. The ability to develop a vision but are also comfortable getting into the weeds and drive things as needed.
  • Strong business acumen and experience in international industrial organizations
  • Experience in managing distributed teams across in multiple countries (incl. outsourced offshore)
  • Experience in managing business change activities or Continuous Improvement Initiatives
