HealthPartners is currently hiring a Principal Enterprise Storage Engineer . This position maintains and monitors enterprise-level SAN environments. The engineer is responsible for ensuring the performance and reliability of storage solutions, proactively resolving incidents, and supporting the overall health of the infrastructure. In addition to technical responsibilities, the engineer collaborates with IT groups and business partners to define capacity requirements and determine hardware and software needs. This role also involves coordinating changes to SAN and storage solutions, as well as managing and controlling the Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) environment.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent professional experience
- 7+ years' experience working with SAN technology.
- 3+ years' experience within IT infrastructure
- Expert knowledge and experience with supporting enterprise data storage platforms including storage provisioning and automation operations.
- Expert knowledge and experience with data protection and business continuity operations
- Expert knowledge and experience with storage area networking, block, file, and object protocols
- Experience with GITOps, scripting, and API operations.
- Deep understanding of data security and cyber resilience best practices.
- Detailed knowledge of Netapp, Cisco, Hitachi, and Commvault storage platforms.
- Experience working in a data center environment with the ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Storage Metric reporting experience.
- Project Management and ITIL experience
- The ability to be fully engaged and work both independently and collaboratively, whether in person or remotely over collaborative platforms

Troubleshoots, monitors, and maintains the integrity of data storage solutions.Maintains storage hardware and software configurations; including storage arrays, fabric switches and host configurations.Develop, document, and share standard operating procedures for day-to-day data storage operations.Develop, maintain, and document business continuity plans always ensuring uninterrupted business operations.Addresses capacity metrics and provides recommendations based on trends and utilization.Coordinates storage capacity and life cycle managementIntegrates system and application requirements to the SAN architecture.Collaborates on initiatives within HealthPartners' IS&TCoordinates project deliverables within the SAN team; participating on projects.Provides storage and redundancy guidance and consultation within IS&TCoordinates changes for the team; providing subject matter expertise to the Change Board.Coordinates planning, installation, support, and maintenance of the data protection environment.Maintains awareness of the latest developments in key areas of responsibility and brings forward opportunities that may benefit HealthPartners.
