This role offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with clients to install, maintain, and repair advanced power electronics systems. The position involves frequent travel, providing hands-on technical support, and ensuring optimal performance of critical power infrastructure. You will troubleshoot complex AC / DC systems, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with clients to resolve technical challenges efficiently. The role requires strong electronics knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in dynamic environments. Additionally, you will contribute to customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service, technical reports, and solutions that help clients maintain operational continuity. Travel is primarily within the Eastern U.S., and the position includes on-call responsibilities.
Accountabilities
- Perform start-up, testing, preventive maintenance, and repair of power electronic systems including inverters, rectifiers, phase conditioners, static transfer switches, and large storage batteries.
- Troubleshoot and repair Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and other AC / DC power systems using technical documents, drawings, and testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and infrared cameras.
- Maintain safety standards, follow operating procedures, and ensure compliance with all applicable electrical safety rules and PPE requirements.
- Provide concise, timely technical service reports and maintain accurate records of work and expenses.
- Recognize opportunities to support clients and enhance service solutions, contributing to customer satisfaction and business growth.
- Travel extensively to client sites (up to 80%), primarily within the Eastern U.S., while managing on-call responsibilities.
Requirements
Associate of Science degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent military experience.Minimum of 3 years of experience in testing, installing, and maintaining DC power systems and large stationary batteries in UPS systems ranging from 24VDC to 600VDC.Strong AC / DC power electronics skills and technical troubleshooting expertise.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to dynamic field conditions.Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and occasionally 75 lbs, with frequent standing, bending, reaching, and travel.Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is beneficial.Ability to multitask and manage complex projects under tight deadlines.Benefits
