Job Title : CompounderJob Description

As a Reaction Operator (Compounder), you will play a crucial role in the production process by managing the accurate compounding of raw materials into finished products. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and manufacturing guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Use the computer system for handling related documentation.
  • Fill liquids and powders into tanks and use scales for accurate measurements according to formulas.
  • Select the appropriate tank based on manufacturing requirements and batch size.
  • Pick required raw materials from the warehouse and scan them using a barcode scanner for lot number and quantity accuracy.
  • Stage raw materials and add them to the tank according to work order manufacturing instructions, potentially requiring forklift operation.
  • Fill and pack orders according to sales order specifications, ensuring accurate weight and proper labeling.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety guidelines.
  • Be open to cross-training and assisting in different departments as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in compounding, reaction operating, and mixing within a food or chemical environment.
  • Understanding of GMP guidelines.
  • Ability to perform raw material measurements accurately.
  • Proficiency in using scales, pumps, valves, and air mixers.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Forklift and pallet jack operation skills.
  • Attention to detail in labeling and packing logs.
  • Comfort with wearing a respirator.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in food production, blending, batch making, and formulation.
  • Familiarity with food-grade materials and chemical handling.

    Work Environment

    Work within a GMP food environment on the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10 : 30pm. The role requires handling chemicals and food-grade materials, and adherence to strict safety and manufacturing protocols. Employees must be comfortable wearing respirators and working with industrial equipment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NORTHBROOK, Illinois.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00 / hr.
