job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProvide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the transportation location. Conduct regular and random patrols in and around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior. Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual situations encountered while on patrol. Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, clients, and visitors as needed. Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and the client site management. Assist with access control and / or crowd management as required by the transportation environment. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Experience working with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred. A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. As a Security Officer - Transportation Patrol Driver in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.
As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned transportation locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing visible presence to support a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and deliver exceptional customer service through strong communication. What You'll Do :
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
