Technician - Diesel Generators

Location :  Mt. Pleasant, Milwaukee, WI

Duration :  6+ Months with the possibility of extension.

Working Hours :  Monday through Friday, core business hours between 7AM and 7PM ( Able to work a flexible work schedule which could include weekends)

Pay Rate : $50 / Hr. on W2

Role Overview :

The Senior Critical Environment Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel generator systems, with a strong preference for experience with Cummins equipment. This role is critical to ensuring uninterrupted power supply and operational continuity across data center and critical infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on diesel generators, including high-horsepower units (500 kW+).
• Conduct monthly inspections per internal standards, including oil and coolant level checks, leak detection, battery inspection, and HMI alarm reviews.
• Troubleshoot generator issues using OEM diagnostics and escalate unresolved problems.
• Maintain accurate documentation of generator running hours, error messages, and maintenance actions.
• Collaborate with CE Managers and Site Engineers to ensure generator systems meet operational standards.
• Support fuel delivery verification, spill kit staging, and invoice reconciliation as part of CEQ Level 1 training protocols.

Qualifications

Required :

All candidates must hold an OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification
