The AMS Sales Representative will promote Aftermarket products such as parts, service and training, while working closely with the Regional Sales Managers (Equipment Sales) and passing leads for new machinery sales. As a subject matter expert (SME) on Viking nailing machines, the Aftermarket Services Sales Representative will use this knowledge to gain the customers’ trust and respect in your ability to recommend the necessary aftermarket products to keep their Viking Machinery, Operators and Maintenance performing at their peak.
Selling Parts, Upgrade Kits, Field Service and Training sales
Participating in trade shows
Conducting sales calls and updating CRM systems
Providing support for existing customers and products, and acting as the voice of the customer to ensure their needs are met
Visiting current and prospective customers
Building and maintaining strong business relationships
Achieving budgeted revenues and margins
Assisting in resolving customer product complaints
Collaborating with Field Service and other departments to ensure excellent customer service
Working with internal stakeholders to increase sales and market share
2+ years of experience in capital equipment sales and / or service, with a preference for experience in the pallet or wood industry
Technical knowledge of machine functions (electrical and mechanical)
Experience in generating leads and managing them through CRM systems is important
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, self-motivation, organization, are preferred
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Dynamics 360 CRM for lead management
Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Willing to travel for business, customer visits, trade shows & events (domestic & international. Average travel is 50%.
This is a full-time exempt position. The typical schedule is standard business hours with occasional hours on nights and weekends as business needs dictate.
Starting pay for this position is $80,000-$120,000 and is highly dependent on applicable experience and skills. This position also offers a commission incentive.
