Hands of Heartland is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to work with the people we support as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) . We are hiring for multiple DSP positions in Lincoln, NE.

What You’ll Do : Work directly with people with developmental disabilities assisting and supporting them with day to day living activities.

• Day Center DSP, you will support and assist individuals with planned group-based or individual-focused activities at the day center and in community settings.
• Residential DSP, you will support and assist individuals with activities in a home environment and in community settings including meal planning, grocery shopping, or household chores.
• In-Home Support Professional as a DSP, you will support and assist individuals with their day to day living activities in a home environment and in community settings. This includes but is not limited to meal planning, grocery shopping, or household chores. You must display a strong sense of professionalism since you will be going into other people’s homes.

Requirements : Must be 18 years old. Must have a valid driver’s license and car insurance. Must be able to pass all background checks. Experience not required- we will train you!

Pay : $16 an hour is starting pay. We pay more for experience and if you have a CNA license. Incentives also available. NEW! We now offer for CNAs to earn CEUs while working as a DSP (thanks to the Nebraska CNA bill we helped champion!)
