RN – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Shift : Rotating; Days (07 : 00 – 19 : 00) and Nights (19 : 30 – 07 : 30)

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care for critically ill infants and children. The RN will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to manage complex, high-acuity patients and deliver evidence-based care in a fast-paced pediatric environment.

Active Maryland RN license (or Compact License)

Unit Details :

1 : 3 for Intermediate Care (IMC) patients

Cardiology (heart block, pacer-dependent, AICD)

DKA and respiratory illnesses (asthma, viral infections)

Post-surgical (neuro, ortho, ENT)

Behavioral health patients

Special Procedures / Skills : CRRT, mechanical ventilation management, ABG interpretation, vasopressor titration, tracheostomy care

Unit Mix : Approximately 80% PICU and 20% NICU patients

Shift : Rotating Days / Nights (36 hours per week)

Every other weekend required

Holidays : As scheduled

Floating : Within pediatric specialties, including NICU, Pediatric ED, and Pediatric Progressive Care Unit

Contract Length : 13–16 weeks accepted
