Responsibilities

• Lead the project team within the healthcare framework, respecting team structure, tools, and standards.
• Assign tasks and direct architects, technicians, and support staff.
• Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of architectural work across all phases.
• Design and detail complete healthcare projects, systems, and components.
• Prepare complete construction documents, including Project Manual and Specifications.
• Apply architectural principles with a clear understanding of code, regulatory, and environmental issues.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Revit and complementary design tools.
• Contribute to technical quality, constructability, and documentation standards across projects.
• Interact directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
• Participate in client meetings and project presentations.
• Serve as a mentor and resource within the multi-office healthcare practice.
• Exhibit leadership through decision-making, time management, and delegation.

Work Environment

The position will operate within a strong A&E-based team culture and will be based in the Birmingham office. Travel to project sites may be required as we are a nationwide practice with clients and projects in 36 states. Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Birmingham, Alabama.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00 / yr.
