Circulating Registered Nurse - Surgical Services

Franklin General Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Circulating RN to join our surgical team. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, sterile, and efficient operating room environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality perioperative care.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare the operating room with necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment.
• Ensure all surgical instruments are sterilized and functioning.
• Serve as the patient's advocate before, during, and after surgery.
• Verify patient identity and surgical site before procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation of the surgical site
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Monitor the surgical team to maintain a sterile field.
• Handle and label surgical specimens accurately.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
• Maintain inventory and reorder surgical supplies as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.

Schedule :

FT 36-40 hours - will vary based on surgical schedule and staffing needs.

No nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts!
