Job Description

RQ Construction is seeking highly motivated and dedicated Mechanical Project Engineer (MPE) candidates to join our Mechanical team at Kings Bay Naval Submarine base. As an MPE, you will provide crucial support throughout all stages of a construction project-from conceptual development to final completion. You'll be responsible for administering, organizing, planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring various project activities. Depending on your experience, there may also be opportunities to take on certain project management responsibilities.

This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or those starting their careers in construction and mechanical engineering. The PE role provides a strategic path to those interested in advancing their career towards a Mechanical Project Manager.

Salary :

$65,000 - $85,000 per year

Key Responsibilities :

Support all phases of construction projects, from conceptual development to completion

Administer project tasks, including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating efforts

Monitor project performance to ensure alignment with established goals and timelines

Assist with project management tasks on larger projects, based on skill and experience

Maintain a strong commitment to RQC's Mission, Vision, and Values

Qualifications :

High school diploma or GED is the minimum required; relevant coursework in construction management, plumbing trade school, or similar fields is preferred

Construction experience in the design-build industry is a plus

Three or more years of field or trade mechanical work experience preferred, but not required for entry-level candidates

Computer literacy in Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Word is required; training will be provided if needed

Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is preferred, but training can be provided

CPR, First Aid, OSHA 30-hour, and EM-385 certifications are preferred; training can be provided

A positive, proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow in the construction field
