Join us as a Dialysis Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, where you will be a vital member of our dedicated team focused on improving the lives of patients living with kidney disease. In this role, you will work closely with patients undergoing treatment for renal failure under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN).
Your Key Responsibilities :
- Patient Care : Provide compassionate care during high-quality dialysis treatments. This includes gathering vital statistics before and after treatment, initiating and monitoring treatment, terminating treatment, and collecting blood samples as directed.
- Technical Duties : Prepare and maintain dialysis machines, ensuring cleanliness and safety protocols are met. Conduct regular machine safety checks and log results to comply with quality control standards.
- Safety First : Adhere to safety measures and company policies including the use of personal protective equipment. Participate actively in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities to enhance your skills.
This position is located at our Central Valdosta Clinic at 506 N Patterson St, Valdosta, GA 31601.
What We Are Looking For :
High school diploma or equivalent.A genuine desire to help patients and be part of the healthcare community.Previous healthcare experience such as dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is advantageous.Comfortable handling and mixing chemicals according to established protocols.Able to distinguish all primary colors.Additional Requirements :
Completion of the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency in hemodialysis after hiring.CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire, or as mandated by the state.Obtain Patient Care Technician certification through a state or nationally recognized program within 18 months of hire, maintaining good standing thereafter.Ready to Make a Difference?
